St. Stephen’s, Longview was host to our recent HYC (High School Youth Conference) April 12th-14th. We were warmly welcomed by the Reverend Kathleen Patton and the wonderful people of St. Stephen’s. Janice H, Meredith B and Jaci M led the program for the weekend. Small groups, music, worship, food and fun all combined to make it a memorable experience. Bishop Rickel join us Saturday morning for worship and a photo scavenger hunt throughout the neighborhood. The announcement to the community was also made that after 22+ years of service in our Diocese I will be retiring from this wonderful ministry as Canon for Youth and Young Adults after 6-Day this summer.
Just around the corner and coming soon is our Spring JYC (Junior High Youth Conference) St. Benedict’s in Lacey will be the host as we gather May 3rd-5th. The theme for the weekend will be “Knock, Knock, Who’s There?” Music, worship, small groups and games will combine as we explore what’s beyond the open and closed doors in our lives.
