A message from Episcopal Relief and Development – THANK YOU! We were overwhelmed by the generosity of football fans across the country, and want to especially thank Bishops O’Neill and Rickel for launching their Super Bowl Challenge in support of our work! Special thanks to everyone who participated, especially in the Episcopal Dioceses of Colorado and Olympia. In total, the 2014 Super Bowl Challenge raised an amazing $31,457.50 to support Episcopal Relief & Development’s mission of healing a hurting world!
Although the real winners in this challenge are the 3 million people worldwide who are strengthening their communities through integrated programs that fight poverty, hunger and disease, we can now reveal that the official contest winners in this friendly wager are…
The Seattle Seahawks!
As in the actual Super Bowl, Seattle beat Denver with 235 gifts to 125, raising $20,437.50 to Denver’s $11,020.50.
These are both incredible amounts and we are grateful to everyone for their support!
